1: How come the highly paid superstars of Italy, France and of course now England are on the plane home and yet the part time and hardly paid youngsters of Slovakia, Japan, Chile, Paraguay and Ghana march on?
Answer: Hunger and the pride in wearing their national shirt are more important than wage and personal status.
2: Is it time for goal line technology?
Answer: No, no law should be introduced to the game that cannot be implemented at all levels of the game from World cup down to park pitch. Players make mistakes (Like green's fumble) and they often cost games. Referees and linesmen ( I refuse to call them assistant referees) make mistakes and equally we should all learn to live with them.
3: Why were we so poor?
Answer: We weren't, we were mediocre, lethargic, didn't play as a unit and Germany wanted the game far more than we did and they outrun us and outplayed us.

1: Because we, along with Italy and France are overpaid prima-donna's who should take stock of their dismal performances!
ReplyDelete2: YES!!! If Lampard's goal had been allowed to stand, we might (just MIGHT) of been able to get ourselves into some sort of form where we could have (COULD have) maybe scraped through.
On a side note, Argentina's first goal should not have been allowed. However, they were by far the stronger side.
3: Because there will be a million and one reasons & excuses that everyone & his wife will come to before they admit we are/were, 1: shit and 2: a useless bunch of prima~donna's; who have no pride or passion or desire to play for England.
My opinion for what it is worth, give 23 players from the lower leagues a chance. They will no doubt want it more and will no doubt show the Premiership wimps how to play with pride and passion....
It is England. It isn't just about playing for the fans on a Saturday to earn your keep. It is about playing with the heart of three (hundred thousand million) lions, about wanting to show the world and his wife that we are something more than the worlds stepping stone and doormat...
All those England fans out there that get so caught up in the beautiful game (including myself and my folks) would give up everything to pull that England shirt on, in my opinion; these "players" need reminding of that.
