IF ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR SUPERGRAN!

And they're off and running................................Well almost.

Today myself and Malcolm Mildren put our nomination papers in as Independent candidates for Castle Ward in May's Borough Council Elections, once again taking on all the Party interests

So expect heavier traffic on the blog and more anonymous comments from the party hacks. Anyhow to wet your appetite and to prove that Supergrans are not just for High Street jewellers security, I paste below our first newsletter, hitting doormats as we speak.

  1. The very best to malcom and tony, the vulnerable of all groups need you and the sheltered housing residents have been heartened by your unstinting support for them, the three main parties have betrayed those whom they should respect but choose instead to heap misery after misery upon them, by their butchering of a once good service and more!

  2. And THEY'RE off. Come on Tony, let's have a little more attention to detail!

SPELLING IT CORRECTLY MAKES IT LOOK MORE SENSIBLE!

  4. *sniggers* Bless ya Tony, even you get caught mate!

I have to say (just don't tell anyone) I like the cartoon bit on the back.

Not sure about the colour though ~ red... are we sure? (Besides, what's wrong with Pink or Purple?)

  5. Actually, having looked at the start of your blog again ~ I think you might be correct in your spelling.

They ~ as in a group of people.
're ~ aka are: as in are these people really going to stand?

I know my spelling sucks, and my grammar too; but even I can see that... "they are off. ready to run for local election"

  6. Yes Miss.A. Nobody, it is correct now that Tony has put it right. DOH!

  7. Has anybody worked out if there is (a) enough time between now and polling day to read all of the Independent newsletter and (b) did Malcolm join this group as it is the only one left he has not been a member of?

  8. Ohhhh, thanks Anon.
Bless him, not everyone can be perfect though ;-)

It's not that big IndepenDENSE... (I think the Lib Dems send more out ~ but I didn't say that)

  9. IndepenDENSEon question a) I hope so because there is more to come. But seriously we get a lot of good feedback from voters for putting out a newsletter that you CAN read!

Have you seen some of the competition? They are all cloned!

  10. I seem to remember numerous Labour leaflets with Tony Clarke on pointing at rubbish and asking for phone numbers for a phone back miles away .... selective memories may fade but history doesn't.

  11. IndepenDENSE never in a million years, I lay down a challenge, show me one, just one picture of me pointing at Rubbish.

Some people may have sold themselves to the political devil but not me.

  12. Don't rise to the troll's bait Tony - no substantive argument from IndepenDENSE here that deserves your time to respond.

  13. So you think it´s ok to steal my cartoon for your banner?

  14. Markus, my sincere apologies if I caused offense, it was with Ann's permission of course, and she felt a little violated at the time of her fame having her image plastered everywhere without people asking permission, but I am happy to give you a name check, I tried at the time to locate the source but couldn't. Incidentally Ann loved the cartoon, and if you want to sell the original to me for a small price for charity I will frame it and give it to her. Regards Tony

  15. Just give her a handshake and my respect. I´m happy that she loves my cartoon.
Sorry, just wanted to grumble a bit.

    Regards, Markus
